Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was amazing. The room was just lovely, possibly the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in, with a stunning view of the river and 2 charming bowed windows. The bathroom was very nice, and the toiletries provided were exceptional, better than what you'd usually find even at Hilton. The breakfast at the Veranda restaurant as part of the bed & breakfast package was a delightful touch. However, the non-stop blaring of trains throughout the night and the poor quality of window coverings were a downside.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great views of the Mississippi River from the spacious and nicely decorated room, but unfortunately, the tranquility was disrupted by the constant noise of passing trains throughout the night and the cheap window coverings. The service was consistently helpful and friendly, making navigating the hotel a breeze. The location was superb for exploring downtown Red Wing and nearby attractions, although the proximity to the still working train depot was notable. The dining experience with a view of the Mississippi was truly amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! It's full of history, with actual explanations of different items tied to Red Wing's past. The room I had was a corner unit with so many windows, giving me a cozy, library-like vibe with leather chairs and wood fireplaces. However, the hotel's location could be slightly improved, being in a not-so-great spot. The service was top-notch, with staff offering wonderful care and sharing fascinating Mississippi River stories. The dining experience was leisurely and delicious, especially at Jimmy's pub, but I wish there were more organic options. Overall, a great value for money option with a few minor drawbacks.
